LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
Menu
Administering a massage after surgery can positively impact on speeding up the process of healing, and break down tissues around the incision scar.
Why is post-op massage important?
The lymphatic system helps process waste and absorbs fluids. After surgery, these fluids can harden, which is often painful. A post-operative massage prevents and treats this hardening of fluids by reducing inflammation and promoting circulation to the affected area. Massage helps with the prevention of complications such as ecchymoses, seromas, dehiscence, intense edema and fibrosis.
Benefits of POST-OP LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE includes:
- Detoxification
- Eases swelling by flushing lymph
- Reduces bruising
- Aids in blood flow to injured tissues
